300 ## - PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Extent In this study, the relationship between occupational stress and coping strategies of college professors during online classes was investigated using restrospective, predictive study which is under nonexperimental quantitative method. A total of 142 professors answered the online survey form with the criteria of being a.) Filipino citizen, b.) a college professor with at least 3 years of experience, c.) a college professor currently teaching in Cavite through online setting. Results shown that college professors who experience occupational stress in this set up are trying to adapt to the changes by using different coping strategies. Coping strategies such as tolerance, relaxation/recreation, emotional release, and social support in times when they experience confusion, working under a disorganized management, no support from their administrators, and dissatisfaction with their job and life. However, they also have the tendency to adapt negative coping strategies including overactivity, substance use, low problem-solving ability, weak cognitive reappraisal or lessened religious participation.:
