- Thisstudy aims to investigate the relationship of No Homework policy to the academic performance and competency in Mathematics of FEC Silang Grade 11 students in School Year 2017-2018. This study followed an experimental design which includes pretest, postest and a self-scaling matrix that were used to 62 students, 32 students for the controlled group and 30 students for the uncontrolled group. the controlled group did not have any changes on their curriculum while the uncontrolled or the experimental group undergone some changes specifically the removal of homework. The two groups hve the same level of difficulties in all of their activities in the subject since the instruments were validated by three (3) validators. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test and p-value. The p-value of the pretest and posttest of students without homework. On the other hand, the level of academic competency of students showed a neutral response with the concept of having homework. The results showed that there is no significance relationship between academic performance and academic competency to homework. With this, educators may consider the complete removal of homework in the school system, as this seemed to show that the level of academic performance and competency of the students with or without homework are just the same.
