<subfield code="a">Solving the problem of plastic pollution has become the main interest of different studies, particularly in the fields of construction and material researchers. This is due to the fact that this phenomenon provides an abundant amount of versatile and durable materials for construstion that can be utilized in replacing the conventional one such as sand. Despite that, most researchers tackling this topic is limited to the effects of percentage of plastic in the concrete parameters. The research titled, " Optimum Grain Size of Polyprolyene as Partial Replacement for fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks." resolved this gap by exploring the possible effects of grain size on the fresh and strength parameters of concrete hallow blocks. Particularly, it focused on the workability of the concrete mixture and the compressive strength of the hollow blocks. The Polyprolyene pellets were ground using crogenic methods and subtituted in the fine aggregate of the blocks. At four percent (4%) substitution, it was observed that as the grain size decreases, the compressive strength of the blocks increases significally, while the workability reteined. It was concluded that the grain size of Polyprolyene has only have an effect on the compressive strength of hollow blocks. Also, the optimal grain size of Polyprolyene was found to be at the range of 2.36 mm < 1.00 mm. More researchers aout the topic are recommended, especially focusing on the interrelationship of plastic percentage and grain size.: </subfield>
