Despite that, most researchers tackling this topic is limited to the effects of percentage of plastic in the concrete parameters. The research titled, " Optimum Grain Size of Polyprolyene as Partial Replacement for fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks." resolved this gap by exploring the possible effects of grain size on the fresh and strength parameters of concrete hallow blocks. Particularly, it focused on the workability of the concrete mixture and the compressive strength of the hollow blocks. The Polyprolyene pellets were ground using crogenic methods and subtituted in the fine aggregate of the blocks. At four percent (4%) substitution, it was observed that as the grain size decreases, the compressive strength of the blocks increases significally, while the workability reteined. It was concluded that the grain size of Polyprolyene has only have an effect on the compressive strength of hollow blocks. Also, the optimal grain size of Polyprolyene was found to be at the range of 2.36 mm < 1.00 mm. More researchers aout the topic are recommended, especially focusing on the interrelationship of plastic percentage and grain size.: b3 a1 pages d0 aThesis a0 atext aUnmediated 4avolume 2lccctdajpascuab2019-07-10 11:56:09djmenesese2019-09-28 16:30:47 b0c0d0e1f0g0h0i0j0 a11243 c11153d11153
