Thereafter, the consistency of the blood will decrease, and the hematocrit will still be filled. Thereafter, the consistency of the blood will decrease, and the hematocrit will deplete. Due to the inadequate amount of red blood cells, the bone marrow will need to produce more red blood cells, However, due to the extreme bleeding, the amount of iron that is needed by the bone marrow to make the red blood cells will reduce. Thus, the body cannot replace the lost blood which might lead to anemia. This study entitled, " Generating an Anti-bleeding Ointment from the EthanolicExtract of Brown ALgae (Phaeophyceae) for the minor Incision Wound of Male Albino Laboratory Rats (Rattus norvegicus domesticus)" was conducted through six (6) different set-ups: Set-up A (Brown algae Extract Oinment Group), Set-up B (Guava Leaf Extract Ointment Group), Set-up C (Brown Algae and Guava Leaf Extract Ointment Group), Set-up D (providone Iodine Group), Set-up E (Saline Solution Group), and Set-up F (Untreated Group). A solution to this problem is the application of termicide, but this may be harmful to consumers as they might accidentaly inhale the chemicals brought about by the termicide itself. Considering this problem, the researchers decided to create and test the natural termicide made of calamansi peel extract. Researchers obtained calamansi peel oil and mixed the oil with paint thinner to test the effectiveness of four different concentrations of peel oil. Researchers tested the solutions on two termite species called Coptotermes vastator and Nasutitermes Luzonicus. The solutions were tested using two different methods, which were spray method and soil method. Result of the experiment showed that effectiveness of calamansi peel oil solution and conventional termicide are not significantly different. This proved that calamansi peel oil could be used for killing agent for termite. The reason behind of this is that, chemicals that is used by the factories are disponed to surface inland where the citizens bathe, wash, and play with water. Inspite of this, there are equipements or methods invented in order to solve this; studies were only limited to solving household wastes and factories take time in minimizing the contaminants. Te researched titled " Latundan (Musa sapientum) Peel Tea Bags as Absorber of Hexavalent Chromium Cr(VI) in Wastewater coming from Textile Dyeing Factory in Cavite" resolved this gap by making a product titled "Bbags" as another methd that can reduce Hexavalent Chorium content. This study focused on variation and identification of which time gram interval and time interval greatly reduce the Hexavalent Chorium content in wastewater. The crused and stain Latundan peels are placed within a tea bag as another way to filter wastewater. In a Bbags weighing greater than 2 grams, it was observed as a grams increase the amount of Hexaavalent Chorium also increases, but time interval has proven no effect at all. It was concluded that the grams intervals of Bbags have only significant effect on Cr(VI) amount. Also, the optimal gram interval of Bbgas was found to be in two grams having a p-value of 0.025744 which is less than 0.05 alpha level. Despite that, most researchers tackling this topic is limited to the effects of percentage of plastic in the concrete parameters. The research titled, " Optimum Grain Size of Polyprolyene as Partial Replacement for fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks." resolved this gap by exploring the possible effects of grain size on the fresh and strength parameters of concrete hallow blocks. Particularly, it focused on the workability of the concrete mixture and the compressive strength of the hollow blocks. The Polyprolyene pellets were ground using crogenic methods and subtituted in the fine aggregate of the blocks. At four percent (4%) substitution, it was observed that as the grain size decreases, the compressive strength of the blocks increases significally, while the workability reteined. It was concluded that the grain size of Polyprolyene has only have an effect on the compressive strength of hollow blocks. Also, the optimal grain size of Polyprolyene was found to be at the range of 2.36 mm < 1.00 mm. Many everyday objects such as grocery bags, sachets, and food packaging are some of the functions of plastic. However, plastic has also contributed to multiple flooding and its improper disposal has caused marine animals to mistakenly think of it as food. Scientists have discovered a way to lessen the chance to poisoning marine animals as well as the ecosystem and the land through creating biodegradable plasctic also known as bio plastic. This paper specifically aims to create a bioplastic made out of tapioca starch which will be reinforced with Saccharum spontaneum Linn., also localy known as talahib, to find out how effective talahib starch as a reinforcement in terms of tensile strength and biodegradability, and which treatment with varying percentage of talahib tarch is more effective in terms of tensil strength and biodegradability. Results show that when the amount of talahib starch increased, the tensile strength also increased, therefore failing to reject the null hypothesis of no significantdifferences. The amount of talahib starch also affected the biodegradability of the bioplastic. When the amount of talahib starch increased, its biodegradability also quickened, hence failing to reject the null hypothesis as well. Thus, Treatment C (22% of talahib starch) proved to be effective in terms of tensile strength and biodegradability.: | 1 pages text

Place hold on Effectiveness of talahib (Saccharum spontaneum Linn.) as reinforcement to tapioca bioplastic /

Biolard: The development of biodiesel from pork lard with ethanol blend as a generator engines' alternative fuel. /
<dc:identifier>ISBN:text</dc:identifier>

By STEM.
English : High School Library, .
The Philippines has been reliant on fossil fuels, and due to the wide dependence on this energy source, fossil fuels tend to contribute to the depletion of the natural environment. Biodiesel has been a known fuel alternative that may possibly ease the problem on the country`s energy deficiency. The study focused on the production of biodiesel from pork lard to generate electricity. There were three biodiesel samples which consisted of 6:1, 7:1, and 8:q cetane number, density, and kinematic viscosity. These parameters were compared to the descriptive statistics for the treatment of the data. The findings have shown that the three Biolard samples did not meet the requirements of the PNS, but were within the specifications of the international standards in terms of some parameters. There were also unidentified samples that could be best used for generator engines for the values of the results went either beyond or under the specifications of the country. It negatively impacts on the society affecting the health of the world`s population and economy of every country. Many inventions and methods of the world`s population and the economy of every country. Many inventions and methods were employed to minimize the effects and lessen the percentage of contaminated bodies of water. The most common innovation that has been internationally used are water purifiers which are commonly composed of sediments, papers, pebbles, sand and charcoals. This study utilizes peels of the banana fruit as a component of a water filter. Bananas have been proven to have medicinal properties as it is used in various ailments and health-related problems. Based on these proven medical properties, this research focuses on the identifying whether banana peels could be effective in purifing the water from bacteria specifically Musa sapientum (Latundan Banana) can make water potable through the process of filtration. The peels were dried for two (2) days and then chopped into pieces. A paper filter was put at the bottom of the strainer and the banana peels were put at the top. Water was poured inside the strainer only once and then collected directly by a jar underneath. Different setups had different amounts of banana peels. They are 10 grams, 15 grams and 20 grams respectively in each setup which underwent 3 trials each. The samples were brought to a water testing lab in Trece Martines, Cavite including the unpurified water sample from a chosen stream in Silang, Cavite. The water samples were tested for their portability in comparison to the amount of Coliform present in the water sample. The results of the test done on the water samples show that the banana peels were not effective in making the stream water potable. All water samples had high amounts of Coliform and Fecal Coliform. The research concludes that banana peels in amounts of 10 grams, 15 grams and 20 grams cannot purify water from Coliform and Feall Coliform and therefore cannot make potable.
