Ramores, Kent Martin T. Velasquez, Isha M. SHOOL: Far Eastern University - Cavite DEGREE: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology TECHNICAL ADVISER: Prof. Mark Anthony P. Cezar ADVISER: Prof. Alvin Jason A. Virata, MIT YEAR: SY 2014 - 2015 KEY CONCEPTS: Teachers Evaluation, Web Based, Online Chapter 1 presents the company background, background of the study, project description; statement of the problem, purpose of the study, scopes and limitations, significance of the study and definition of terms. The proponents conducted the study within the school of Far Eastern University - Cavite. The proponents identified the common problems encourtered by the school during evaluation; the proponents proposed the development of Web Based Teacher`s Evaluation System for Far Eastern College - Cavite. The proponents conducted series of studies and research in order to support and reate the proposed project for a suitable solution. The scope and limitation of the proposed system were also presented to give an overview of the features and capabilities of the system. This project will be of significance for the evaluation every semester in the school. In Chapter 2, the prponents presented the review of related literature, study, system and sypnosis. It will support the proponents` cognitive ideas to the proposed system. Related literature is all about the parallel ideas and information from written works that is related to the system. Related studies are focused on the research or analysis pertaining to the creation of the system. Related systems are systems that are already launched by other developers that are related to the proposed system. Lastly, synopsis is the conclusion of the chapter two wherein it tackles how the related literatures, studies, systems will benefit on creating the system. Chapter 3 presents the research methodologies, system objectives, the paradigm or system development life cycle, the feasibilty study that consists of technical feasibility, operational feasibility, political feasibility, schedule feasibility and economic feasibility. The cost and benefit analysis presents the total development cost, annual benefit, payback period and return of investment. The logical and physical design contains ERD on Entity Relationship Diagram, Network Architecture, and Activity Diagram. The logical and physical design also includes the narrative for each diagram. Chapter 4, this chapter presents the data gathered out of the instruments in the study in relation with the problem statement presented in chapter 1. The proponents included the systems evaluation (Q Test) to the systems security, interface design, reability, functionality and maintainability. The proponents come up with the evaluation using the sampling design. The respondents will be the students and IT experts. The system`s evaluation was conducted by 33 end-users and 7 expert users, with a total of 40 respondents. The overall evaluation result is 4.47 and 4.03 for front-end users and IT experts respectively. Therefore from the level of satisfaction table (refer to table 6.0), the interpretation is very good so the system is considered to be acceptable. Chapter 5, in this chapter, the proponents shows the summary of findings, conclusion and reccomendation. The summary of findings presents the satisfaction and acceptance for the system from different criterion. The conclusion response on the system objectives on chapter 1. The proponents and the evaluators agreed that the system meets all the system objectives presented in chapter 3. Lastly, the recommendations is the reponses of the evaluators on the system which must be parallel to the system objectives. The evaluators give their own recommendations for the improvement and future upgrades for the system to enhence its effectiveness. : | 1 pages text

Place hold on Development of a Web Based Teacher's Evaluation for Far Eastern College - Cavite /

Ulam bites /
<dc:identifier>ISBN:text</dc:identifier>

By Bachelor of Science in Business Aministration Major in Financial Management and Marketing Management | TH0015.
English : College Library, .
Convenience foods are driven heavily by the trend towards more convenient food preparation and consumption, which is a result of busy lifestlyes and an aging population (http://www.cargillfoods.com, 2016). This need of the consumers on alloting a little of their time to eat, gave researchers the idea to provide consumers an innovative and convenient way to eat Filipios traditional foods without sacrificing its taste and price. Ulam Bites is basically a combination of Filipino dishes like Adobo and rice. The ulam or viand will be placed inside cooked rice, coated with egg and bread crumbs and then shaped into rectangular bite-sized portions which is 5 inches in length, 3 inches in width and 1 inch thick. This represents the culture of the Filipinos by using different Filipino viand (ulam). Its target location is at Silang, Bayan while its target market are residents of Silang, Bayan who prefer to eat on the go. This includes consumers with ages from 10 to 60 years old regardless of their gender and occupation. There are several competirors identified but Ulam bites assures that it has its competitive advantage, like it can be a substitute for a full meal. Also, different promotional strategies will be applied to market the product especially on its first year of operation. The research uses robust linear regression methods for hypothesis testing. In this study, discretionary accruals were used as a stand-in for earning management, and Dechow et al.(1999)`s modified Jones model was utilized to measure it. Furthermore, the total assests of a company were used as measurement to determine the size of the company. The statistical results indicated that only corporate social responsibility has a significant impact on eranings management, which is similar conclusion that had beeb reached by few prior studies on the same topic. The goal of this study is to look at the relationship and predictive value of audit free and audit firm size towards audit quality. This study employed non-experimental quantitative research employing descriptive-correlation research methodology. This study included auditors who possessed the following characteristics: office located in Metro Manila, Philippines and has at least one year of auditing experience. Findings indicated that the variables are positively correlated with each other. This means that as audit fee and audit firm size increase, audit quality also increases. The result of the regression analysis also found out that audit fee and audit firm size positively affect and can be used as a predictor of audit quality. The study`s purpose is to provide FEU-Cavite a mobile-responsive website that has food reservation method that help the students make meal reservations in a range of time, generates foof information so that the students know what to eat and what it costs and many more. The proponents used PHP programming language for the system to be made possible and SQL in PhPMyAdmin to make database for the information that needs to be saved. The system was first researched by the proponents and knew it is feasible. The proponents analyzed the steps need to be done for the completion of the system. Next on analyzing, the proponents cautiously discussed about the system flow and the programming code to be used. After deciding what will be the flow of the system, the proponents focused on the design of the system. After the panelists or the evaluators carefully analyzed the system, the system paased the evaluation. In Chapter 1, the proponents determined and analyzed on what system should be developed that would be helpful for both student and the staffs of the target establishment. When the proponents decided to create Web-based Cashless Ordering and Reservation System, the proponents decided to provide the university (FEU-Cavite) the system. They also determine the problems that the establishment are experiencing and analyzed on what will be the main objective that the system will provide for the establishment. In Chapter 2, the proponents discussed about the related literatures and systems that they will use. Most of the related literatures and systems gave the proponents great idea on what will be design and flow of the system. In Chapter 3, the proponents discussed the methodology used in the research. There, the diagrams that are used by the proponents are shown like the data flow diagram, etc. It is also discussed if the system is really feasible or possible to implement. The system was tested by having the Cost-Benefit Analysis. In Chapter 4 contains the evaluation of the system if it passed the front-end users and Expert-Users` expectation of the system. The evaluation is divided in four (4) criteria which are the maintability, reliability, security and design. The respondents was also categorized in to two; the expert and front-endusers. The proponents used mean, median mode to determine the overall average of the evaluation of the system. In order to calculate the mean average a set of related numbers (or data set) is required. At least two numbers are needed in order to calculate the mean. The numbers need to be linked or related to each other in some way to have any meaninngful result. Each respondent ranked the system in a scale of Very Good which is 4.24 in overall mean. For the Q-test evaluation for maintability, the value of front-end is 0.438 while the expert is 0 which indicates that the evaluation passed the 90%, 95%, and 99%. For the Q-test evaluation for reliability, the value of front-end is 0.187 while expert is 0 which indicates that the evaluation passed the 90%, 95%, and 99%. For the Q-test evaluation for security, the value of front-end is 0.187 while the expert is 0.259 while the expert is 0.5 which shows that the evaluation passed the 90%, 95%, and 99% confidence level which shows that the system passed the evaluation. In Chapter 5, the proponents discussed the result of the evaluation, conclusion and the reccomendations of the front-end users and evpert users. The system have passed all the evaluation that it undergone and had a good impression to the front-end users. The proponents also considered the recommendations of the evaluators to improve the system.: | 1 pages text

Place hold on Development of a Web-based Cashless Ordering and Reservation System /

my-FORMS : my File Operated Response Management System /
<dc:identifier>ISBN:text</dc:identifier>

By Bachelor of Science in Information Technology | TH0039.
English : College Library, .
The main objective of the study was to assess the developed my File Operated Response Management System using its function for benefits. Thus, the aim of this research is to determine the effect of Medium-grained Water Hyacinth Plant (MGWHP) to the Comprehensive Strength (CS) of Concrete Hollow Block (CHB). The researchers utilized three (3) test-setups: Ordinary CHB, CHB with 1% MGWHP and CHB with 3% MGWHP. The method was utilized to identify which concertration of MGWHP in CHB has a better result in terms of its CS. As the results were gathered, the CS of the test-setups were evaluated and compared to each other to identify the significant difference among test-setups were evaluated and compared to each other to identify the sifnificant difference among the test-setup. The result showed that the mean comprehensive strength of Ordinary CHB was 53.8 Psi while the CHB with 3% MGWHP acquired its CS at 47 Psi. However, the CHB with 1% MGWHP significally affects the compressive strength of concrete hollow blocks as it acquired the CS of 176.8. The result also showed that the CHB with 1% MGWHP is the best concertration among the other test-setup. The result demostrated that the amount of MGWHP on the concrete affects its compressive strength. The experiment done by the researchers to determine the effectiveness of the products was an improvise technique which the researchers measured the mass of cloth without stain was subtracted into the mass of the stained cloth to get the removed stain. The researchers used three different concentrations which are 25%, 50%, 75% and as for the stain, the researchers used four different stains which are food, ink, oil and mud stains. Upon conducting the experiment, the most efffective concentration of the pomelo-based organic liquid laundry detergent is the 25% in terms of removing ink and oil stain. In addition, there is significant difference in terms of removing food and mud stains. After comparing the positive and negative control, however, the negative control is the most effective in terms of removing food and ink stains compared to the other two (2) and there is no effective solution on mus stains. Thus, only the 25% concentration of the pomelo-based organic liquid laundry detergent product can be used as an alternative in only removing oil stain in cotton fabric since the product became a natural surfactant as when it was mixed with baking soda. A solution to this problem is the application of termicide, but this may be harmful to consumers as they might accidentaly inhale the chemicals brought about by the termicide itself. Considering this problem, the researchers decided to create and test the natural termicide made of calamansi peel extract. Researchers obtained calamansi peel oil and mixed the oil with paint thinner to test the effectiveness of four different concentrations of peel oil. Researchers tested the solutions on two termite species called Coptotermes vastator and Nasutitermes Luzonicus. The solutions were tested using two different methods, which were spray method and soil method. Due to this event, the researchers used discarded materials like Aratiles leaves and Orange peels to solve the problem. Through a quantitative and experimental research design, this study identified the precise ratio of concertration amount needed for the inflammatory treatment, developed an anti-inflammatory drug that subside the inflammatory rapidly and created a nonlethal alternative anti-inflammatory drug out of Aratiles leaves and Orange peels extracts. The extracts from the Aratiles leaves and Orange peels to create the medicinal drug of the study. It was tested on male albino rats and proved that it is a nonlethal anti-inflammatory drug. It was observed that Aspirin is an effective drug while a Saline Solution was proven to be least effective. Set D (200mg/kg) was considered to be the second most ss concentration follwed by Set E (300mg/kg). Set C (100mg/kg) obtained a close value to Set E. The researchers further improvement of the study by conducting an experiment with validation from istitutions by using other discarded resources. The reason behind of this is that, chemicals that is used by the factories are disponed to surface inland where the citizens bathe, wash, and play with water. Inspite of this, there are equipements or methods invented in order to solve this; studies were only limited to solving household wastes and factories take time in minimizing the contaminants. Te researched titled " Latundan (Musa sapientum) Peel Tea Bags as Absorber of Hexavalent Chromium Cr(VI) in Wastewater coming from Textile Dyeing Factory in Cavite" resolved this gap by making a product titled "Bbags" as another methd that can reduce Hexavalent Chorium content. This study focused on variation and identification of which time gram interval and time interval greatly reduce the Hexavalent Chorium content in wastewater. The crused and stain Latundan peels are placed within a tea bag as another way to filter wastewater. In a Bbags weighing greater than 2 grams, it was observed as a grams increase the amount of Hexaavalent Chorium also increases, but time interval has proven no effect at all. It was concluded that the grams intervals of Bbags have only significant effect on Cr(VI) amount. Also, the optimal gram interval of Bbgas was found to be in two grams having a p-value of 0.025744 which is less than 0.05 alpha level. More researchers about the topic are recommended, especially focusing on the effectivity of variations of depth ehen Bbags are soake.: | 1 pages text

Place hold on Latundan(musa sapientum) peel tea bags as adsorber of Hexavalent Chromium [Cr(VI)] in waste water from a texttile dyeing factory in Cavite /

Optimum Grain Size of Ground Polyproylene as Partial Replacement for Fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks /
<dc:identifier>ISBN:text</dc:identifier>

By STEM.
English : High School Library, .
Solving the problem of plastic pollution has become the main interest of different studies, particularly in the fields of construction and material researchers. This is due to the fact that this phenomenon provides an abundant amount of versatile and durable materials for construstion that can be utilized in replacing the conventional one such as sand. Despite that, most researchers tackling this topic is limited to the effects of percentage of plastic in the concrete parameters. The research titled, " Optimum Grain Size of Polyprolyene as Partial Replacement for fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks." resolved this gap by exploring the possible effects of grain size on the fresh and strength parameters of concrete hallow blocks. Particularly, it focused on the workability of the concrete mixture and the compressive strength of the hollow blocks. The Polyprolyene pellets were ground using crogenic methods and subtituted in the fine aggregate of the blocks. At four percent (4%) substitution, it was observed that as the grain size decreases, the compressive strength of the blocks increases significally, while the workability reteined. It was concluded that the grain size of Polyprolyene has only have an effect on the compressive strength of hollow blocks. Also, the optimal grain size of Polyprolyene was found to be at the range of 2.36 mm < 1.00 mm. More researchers aout the topic are recommended, especially focusing on the interrelationship of plastic percentage and grain size.: | 1 pages text

Place hold on Optimum Grain Size of Ground Polyproylene as Partial Replacement for Fine Aggregate in Concrete Hollow Blocks /

Effectiveness of talahib (Saccharum spontaneum Linn.) as reinforcement to tapioca bioplastic /
<dc:identifier>ISBN:text</dc:identifier>

By STEM.
English : High School Library, .
Palstic has been considered as a revolutionary invention that has changed the way of living humans. Many everyday objects such as grocery bags, sachets, and food packaging are some of the functions of plastic. However, plastic has also contributed to multiple flooding and its improper disposal has caused marine animals to mistakenly think of it as food. Scientists have discovered a way to lessen the chance to poisoning marine animals as well as the ecosystem and the land through creating biodegradable plasctic also known as bio plastic. This paper specifically aims to create a bioplastic made out of tapioca starch which will be reinforced with Saccharum spontaneum Linn., also localy known as talahib, to find out how effective talahib starch as a reinforcement in terms of tensile strength and biodegradability, and which treatment with varying percentage of talahib tarch is more effective in terms of tensil strength and biodegradability. Results show that when the amount of talahib starch increased, the tensile strength also increased, therefore failing to reject the null hypothesis of no significantdifferences. The amount of talahib starch also affected the biodegradability of the bioplastic. When the amount of talahib starch increased, its biodegradability also quickened, hence failing to reject the null hypothesis as well. Thus, Treatment C (22% of talahib starch) proved to be effective in terms of tensile strength and biodegradability.: | 1 pages text

Place hold on Effectiveness of talahib (Saccharum spontaneum Linn.) as reinforcement to tapioca bioplastic /
